Overhauled Customer UI, branding and experience

We’ve modernized the Customer interface, improved branding and more. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the new look. The Greeting has been re-purposed so you can ask your customers contextual questions like “What’s your ticket number?” or “How can I help you?”. You can change the Greeting in the administrator control panel.

Better, faster, and more robust unattended access

We’ve re-built unattended access from the ground up. You’ll experience faster response times, more robust connections, and a better all-around experience. Your customers grant unattended access in a new way, too: from the Start Session screen under the unattended access tab.

You can tell whether your customer is on the new unattended access apparatus from the Specialist Unattended Access List: look for the asterisk next to Upgrade that indicates your customer needs to upgrade their software to the latest version.

Scalable Specialist Windows

The Specialist window can now be scaled to any size. Drag the bottom right corner of the Specialist window and resize it to whatever size best suits you.

Multiple monitors in multiple windows

Improved multi-monitor support lets you view each of your customers’ windows in its own independent window, making remote support fast and easy.

Automatic population of Customer Details

Your customers no longer need to type in their name and e-mail address — we populate it from their Windows account. Want to have your customers enter their full details before a session starts? Go to the administrator control panel and change “Request customer contact info” to “Always”.

Handy toolbox

Put all of your favorite tools into a toolbox, then run them on your Customer’s computer with a single click. Want to add Auto PC Repair to your toolbox? Download it from instanthousecall.com/addons/APCR.zip

Fancy pants reporting

A whole new reporting engine with more flexibility to pull any data you choose. Go to instanthousecall.com/signin to see the new reporting engine.
